The Best and the Best (of)
First off let’s say that the Santa Fe Reporter’s Best Of party this year was big and badass and we all had an excellent time. So good in fact that some of us Second Street staffers were in league to get tattoos (not going to tell you where, but it may have been in honor of Steve’s birthday) and were severely disappointed that this year there was NOT a tattoo booth.
We also fell in love with a dog named Banksy, who we were ready to adopt immediately (but a nice couple of humans had just decided to take him home). We fell in love a second time, with a little blind pup, saw the mayor dunked in the dunk tank, watched dancers and people on stilts, ate cake and pizza, drank beer inside our Railyard taproom, outside our Railyard taproom, we drank beer in the Farmer’s Market, we drank beer outside the farmers market…
We danced in the rain to an Aretha Franklin tribute, and to all of our local musicians up there, you put on an amazing show!
Thank you to the Reporter for putting on the Best Of, and to our community for voting us 1st place for Best Taproom, and 2nd place for Best Locally Brewed Beer, Nachos and Burgers.
